About Joseph Gorman
Joseph (Joe) M. Gorman’s legal career has brought him extensive litigation experience and a passion for helping people deal with the stress of an often confusing legal system. Whether you have been accused of a crime or dealing with issues in a family law case, Joe can help provide you with the steady hand of an experienced attorney to reduce the stress. Joe represents people who have been accused of driving while intoxicated (DUI/DUID/DWAI), domestic violence, theft, possession of drugs, distribution of drugs, forgery, fraud, burglary, armed robbery, crimes of violence, assaults, and sex offenses.
Joe began his career handling cases as a Public Defender. Being responsible for a large amount of cases with a limited amount of time, taught him the ability to identify and organize the legal issues, key facts and investigation errors within a case in an efficient manner. These skills and abilities combined with Joe’s reputation of being willing to take cases to trial allow him to provide quality representation through every phase of your legal proceeding. His preparedness allows him to sit down with the opposing counsel and be able to lay out in a clear manner why his proposed solution to the legal issue is the best course. While he can never guarantee an outcome for a case, he has had multiple cases dismissed and other favorable resolutions, including going to trial and the client being found not guilty.
Prior to becoming a lawyer in 2008, Joe served in the military, later on becoming a real estate agent and mortgage broker. As a realtor and mortgage broker, Joe helped his client’s through one of the most stressful transactions in a person’s life, the purchase of a home. This experience allows Joe to understand the unique stress a legal proceeding can have on a person’s life. Besides guiding you through a difficult, stressful, legal process, Joe prides himself on being able to do it in a manner that will reduce his client’s stress. He is able to reduce the stress associated with the unknown in the legal process. Joe does this by taking on the difficult tasks associated with every legal case and translating the legalese in a common sense manner for his clients.
Joe’s approach to family law matters applies the same critical eye for legal issues, preparedness, and common sense to achieve the most favorable outcome for you during a difficult process. He understands that this difficult process can be extremely stressful for you and your family. He works to ensure you understand your legal standing and all of your options throughout the process. A prepared lawyer is a confident lawyer. The more prepared your attorney is the better he can anticipate the unexpected, helping to prevent you from experiencing the stress of being caught by surprise by an issue. They know the law, know the facts particular to your case, and are able to show the judge how they work together in your case, this increases the likelihood you will obtain a favorable settlement. Joe’s preparedness combined with his consistent client communication helps to alleviate the stress of the unknown during the process of achieving a favorable settlement for you.
