About Michael A. Lassota
I learned in law school that "the law will find you". Well, it has. As a general practitioner for 14 years before joining this firm, one of the most frequent types of cases that regularly came through my door was family law; divorce, custody, visitation, relocation, restraining orders, and child support, to name a few. Equally as frequent were criminal cases, both adult and juvenile, misdemeanor and felony. The experience gained from dealing with people during fifteen years as a police office had prepared me to work effectively with these types of clients to obtain the best results possible for them, given their circumstances.
I have represented clients in Colorado District, County and Municipal courts as well as Federal court. Also, I have represented clients in state and federal administrative forums such as Department of Motor Vehicle hearings. Several years on the bench in Michigan as a District Court Magistrate and in Colorado as a Municipal Court Judge and Hearing Office (administrative law judge) have provided me with knowledge about how the "system" works.
Call me. If I can help you, I will quote you a competitive rate to represent you. If I cannot help, I will tell you straight out and refer you to a lawyer that can.
